The Houston County Sheriff's Office charges a service fee of $85.00 per person served. We accept cash or check only. We do not accept credit/debit cards. If paying with cash, please bring exact cash as we often are unable to make change. Checks can be made out to the Houston County Sheriff's Office. 

The service fee must be paid in advance. We will not attempt service until the fee has been paid in full. 

Service documents are accepted by email, mail or in person at the Houston County Sheriff's Office. 

Once service is complete a Certificate of Service will be provided to the party requesting service. If service proves to be unsuccessful after 5 service attempts by a deputy a Certificate of Non-Service will be provided to the party requesting service.
