NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENT TO ENACT AN ORDINANCE

Ordinances are governmental enactments that regulate people or property. Ordinances have the full force and effect of law, including criminal penalties if violated. The adoption of Ordinances is one of the most binding and permanent acts performed by the County Board. Ordinances may be repealed or changed only by a subsequent ordinance or amendment. Ordinances are adopted and enforced to protect, preserve, and promote the public health, safety, and general welfare.
